91. Early impressions of .NET Aspire
91. Early impressions of .NET Aspire: Cloud-first development
Making .NET one of the most productive platforms for building cloud-native applications has always been a proclaimed goal of Microsoft. With the launch of .NET 8, Microsoft has announced a new stack, called .NET Aspire, that aims to make further progress toward that goal. They investigate the sample app demonstrating the benefits of Aspire for cloud development and discuss the benefits of the dashboard and the various components. Finally, they answer a crucial question: do they deem Aspire ready to assist developers in setting up an integrated, professional cloud software development environment, or do they disagree with this opinionated stack?
