Yvo

Within Betabit, Yvo is the Principal Cloud Architect Managed Software. A role for which he has earned his spurs. In the late 1990s, Yvo turned his hobby into his profession and switched from primary education to ICT. After building up experience at Capgemini, EY, and KPMG, Yvo has been working at Betabit since 2009. Over the past 25 years, he has fulfilled different roles and functions for many different clients: developer, coach, trainer, scrum master, functional designer, business analyst, architect, project leader, and product owner. Or, as he always says: ‘I've done everything except testing!’ 

“What I like best is working with a team to serve customers by building good software. Good software is software that solves the user's problem, supports the customer in the process for which it is intended, and does so in a stable, scalable, and maintainable way. We have such a rich toolbox that sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees or feel like you keep chasing after new trends without being able to connect properly. I think that focusing on the problem you want to solve and designing and setting up an effective architecture for it is one of the best challenges in our profession.”
